Hi Alex,

With the latest firmware 71.14, the unit should program fine. The Ford Kuga was added in Firmware 71.05 so make sure the unit is udpated.

At step 13 (and 16) positioning of the key is really important and the battery has to be removed from the remote. No other key should be in the vehicle at this time. If you want to know if the position you are holding the key is correct, the best way to do this would be to start the vehicle with no battery in the remote and the remote in front of the barrel. With the correct position, you would be able to start the vehicle. You can also look in the vehicles user guide, it will show how and where to place the remote if the battery dies in the remote.

Other than positioning of the remote and the firmware on the EVO, you will want to make sure the Tx and Rx are well connected and not accidentally reversed.

I recheck all wires, and it is correct, also tried to reverse tx rx - no effect. Firmwire version:

Service No: 001A06 283327
Preload date: 47-2013
Hardware version: 6
Firmware version: 71.14
Vehicle: FORD KUGA (EURO) 2013 - PUSH-TO-START
DCryptor: THE IMMOBILIZER DATA RECEIVED FROM THE MODULE IS INCOMPLETE.

Maybe it's due to the fact that European Kuga to turn the ignition on I need to press the button once instead of two on Escape ?

If I on step 13 press pts on/off 5 times the procedure continues, but when I trying to proccess dcryptor in flash link manager I get the following error: INVALID KEY DATA. The immobilizer data received from the module is incomplete.

idatalink using the same wires, passes klon procedure and successfully turning on ignition, but do not start engine after 3 minutes, that is why we abandoned it.

In this case, I do not understand why I can't do dcryptor procedure. (
Hi Alex,

I`ll look into with engineering. Fortin in Russia has no problems with this car.  http://ifar.su
Hi Robert,

Thanks for your answers. I have a last questions. Is it necessary to connect RAP control and hood pin if I do not use alarm function in EVO ? And do I need to do stage 6: REMOTE STARTER / ALARM VERIFICATION PROCEDURE ? Thanks !

P.S. Fortin in Russia do not support EVO purchased outside Russia.

Rap control is to shut down the radio after remote start and also to arm the vehicle properly in some fords.

The hood pin is there mostly for security purposes to protect anyone working on the engine; the remote starter would not start if someone accidentally remote started the vehicle while a mechanic has his hands around the engine.

And do I need to do stage 6: REMOTE STARTER / ALARM VERIFICATION PROCEDURE ? Thanks !

You can skip this step. Program with the BLUE LED first, then disconnect the EVO completely and do the second part of programming.

P.S. Fortin in Russia do not support EVO purchased outside Russia.

True. They are our link though about hows and whats they had to do in some vehicles to get it to program.

I'm hoping to have a solid answer for you by the end of the day. If not, it will have to be for Monday next week.

Robert, thanks for your help very much ! I did it ! For my vehicle, first I return firmwire 4.18, then I did steps 13-17. When red and yellow lights turn on I pressed pts button several times until yellow light goes out. Successfully made Dcryptor. And after all upgraded to 71.14. Vehicle started !
Excellent, glad you got it working!
