remote starter not working by data

Question

I have a 1999 jeep grand cheroee with no stock alarm also Have a cool start RS00-G4 and fortin INT-SL+. I have flashed the INT_SL+ to the latest firmware and programed step 17 of the cool start to start by 3 presses of the OEM lock button. Nothing happens. I thing everything is wired right and the programing went ok as far as I know. It will start if I touch the green start wire of the cool start to ground when programed that way but not by the data bus what could be wrong?

The crimestopper trigger input needs to be wired to vehicles Lock wire. The int-sl does not offer Oem remote monitoring.

It is the INT-SL+ and I was left to believe it when I bought it that it does? If not how do I wire to the door locks?

Did I buy the wrong bypass/data interface for my Jeep other manifacturers work with my vehicle wiithout door wiring the remote starter. I thought fortin INT_S+ would  work as others and the description implied as much.I guess I wasted money on the flash unit too. My remote starter is data capable and should work with It as the crime stopper site sells the INT_SL+ to go with the starter I bought.

The INT-SL works with the Crimestopper unit in datalink but that the INT-SL does not offer OEM remote monitoring. That feature can only be found on the EVO-ALL and is only avaialble on these cars. (it is not avaialble for a 1999 Jeep)

 

For the 1999 Jeep, if you want to be able to start your car using the OEM remote, you will need to wire the Crimestopper trigger input to the vehicles lock wire.

• Typically connected at the driver door lock motor. Wire should be Orange/Black
