2005 Colorado Evo-One - Lights Flash 4x and sometimes Passlock

Question

Been using an EVO One for 2 years now with little issue.

From time to time the passlock light comes on if I've had the remote start running for over 10 minutes. Sometimes while driving too. Doesn't seem to cause any problems though. Any thoughts?

Now, out of nowhere, I tried to auto start and it runs for 3 seconds and then turns off and flashes the parking lights 4x. Any thoughts or solutions for this one?

This is pointing to the J1850 connection at the OBD pin 2. Passlock is bypassed through there during remote start and also keeps sending a value once the car is running after takeover. If you are using a t-tap (or any plastic style connector) on there, first thing would be to remove it and splice the wire in.

 

Otherwise, reset and reprogram the unit. 
Reset procedure: 

1. Hold down programming button while plugging in datalink connector.
2. Let go of button when LED is RED.
3. Push and hold button again until all three LEDs start to alternate.
4. Disconnect unit, she is now reset.
