Data link for 2008 trailblazer

I'm not getting data tach or park light through the data link. I have the "evo-all, firmware 4.06" and my starter is "excalibur al 1860 edpb v2"

4.06 only support Fortin protocol.

What protocol is your Excalibur piece in? If you are using D2D flash firmware 0.60 to the evo, this is 4.06 but locked into D2D.

Also since you have a chevy you can use any firmware from 70.18 and up as well wich will give you all 3 protocol options.
So I will check the RS protocol but are you saying to use firmware 70.18 and it may fix the issue? I'm not hip on the protocol differences
First you need to know what protocol your excalibur is using, then you need to make the evo conform to it.

Yes you can use 70.18 on your vehicle. You will have to reprogram the module once you flash the firmware.
Excalibur says DBI or iDatalink protocol. Dose this help and can you give me detailed instructions of that to do. I do have a flashlink module.
D2D/DBI and ADS
ok so ensure the excalibur is in the ads protocol, then flash 70.18 to the evo and in the options select option F2 AP/OFA.  then re program it in the vehicle.
Ok, then all should be good then your saying? thanks I will try after work and let you know!
One more question the data port options are "DBI or iData" which one should I use? Thanks
iData port on your remote starter.

black 4 pin port on the evo-all.
Well that seems to have worked. The only question is dose this protocol support data tach? The wire is to hard to get to and sense isn't working so I'm using "crank" method.
yes tach through data should be working....

If it's not simple work around is to take the evo tach wire and connect it to the input tach wire of the remote starter.
Then I choose"wire tach" on the starter I'm guessing? You have been so great and patient with the novice regular guy trying to install his own stuff.
not sure on that one? I know fortin products....I'm sure if you look in the owners manual it will tell you what the correct option is.
Should I do the key resistor to bypass that system all together because I want to make more standard key without paying the hi price for programming .
Should I do the key resistor to bypass that system or does the evo-all take care of this all together? I want to get standard keys made and don't want to pay for programming.
This is your vehicle. Doing modifications like this is up to you.

The evo-all will not replace the factory passlock system. It is not designed to do this.
