why can I not have 'key takeover' with all the options of 'no key takeover' ?

I have a 2012 sienna PTS and really enjoyed the key take-over portion of the remote start.  however,  it would definitely be nice to have the OEM remote 3x press to start as well as the OEM remote status feature so I can use either remote to arm/dis-arm, remote start the  aftermarket alarm/starter.

The guide says no key take over, but that doesnt mean that a, with key take over solution is not possible.

 
Right now, with your remote starter, you probably have an external input wire that you can wired to door lock wire and programmed to start or stop the vehicle when 3 pulses are present. That's a solution if you want to use the oem remote to start the vehicle with your current key-take-over setup.
