Equinox Service Anti-Theft System

0 votes
I have 2008 Chevy Equinox that I just installed an Evo-All in.  I am running it as a stand alone.

The install didnt go very smoothly due to the wire colors and pins not matching up.

I finally managed to get the thing programed and ran the decryptor setup.  It attemped to start but on the information center it displayed service Anti-Theft System then shut down.  It automatically tried to start again with the same problem.  I read a different thread about a silverado having the same problem and rechecked my wiring.  I cut the red with a white stripe and have the evo between them.  I checked this with a multimeter and it is an always on 12v source.  The wires I have on the immobilizer connector are:

Green pin 1 connected to the can sw

Empty pin 2

Black with a white stripe pin 3

Brown pin 4

red with a white stripe pin 5 connected to evo

I will note that my ignition wire on the key harness was orange not pink on pin 1  and that im using white with a black stripe as my vdata.  Any help would be appretiated.

Where is your ground? pin 3 at the immobilizer connector black/white is a good spot

do you have the connections from the 6 pin red connector exactly as shown?

ignition is pink but the wire fades and looks orange

and white/black is 5v ref, you'll want to move green/red Vdata to pin 5 which should be white

I have the v data on white now and I moved the ground to the black with the white on the immobilizer connector. Now the unit flashes blur the first time when I hit the lock button but not on the second or third time's. So I'm not sure what's going on. When you say red connector are you talking about the one on the evo unit?
If the blue LED is only flashing on the first lock press, this means the vehicle is only 'publishing' the lock commands once on the vehicles data network.

If you can get the blue led to flash on every press when doing LOCK-UNLOCK-LOCK, you can change the option in the EVO for 3xLOCK start to Lock-Unlock-Lock instead. This is option D1.1.
When I first installed the evo it flashed on every lock press and tried to start but I got the anti theft warning. I'm not sure what would have changed that now it only publishes one lock command. Is this on the vehicle side or the evo side that's doing the publishing?

This has been resolved.  After Switching the wires around I had to perform a master reset and reprogram the evo all.  This cleared up my anti- theft issues.  Thank you for the help.

A bit late but...I had the same problem. A body ground is not correct. You really have to use the ground of the immobilizer pin 1 for the EVO-ALL.
