Sounds like a tach issue. but i will side track a little....

First thing about the Taurus. If you connected the lock and unlock to the vehicle, disconnect them. Also, what color are the Can-Bus wires in the vehicle?

 You have options enabled for an RF-KIT, does this only happen with the RF-KIT? If you ground the yellow/black of the EVO, does the vehicle start and stop the same way?

 The unit is also currently flashed to a F-150, with stand alone and RF-KIT options enabled. Is this how you are using the unit or is there a separate remote starter installed? I am just wondering in case you have a unit that was previously installed in an F150. You have to reset the unit and start from scratch with programming.
