Any updates to 2009 Mazda 5 install?

0 votes

I have a 2009 Mazda 5 Sport.  As far as I can tell there is not a 3x Lock option if I want to use my OEM remote.  According to this it appears the EVO-ONE has remote start functionality for my car but the EVO-ALL doesn't?

What would I need to start the car with the EVO-ONE?

And the EVO-ALL could only act as a bypass, correct?

The EVOONE is a remote starter and bypass all in one box, you will not need a seperate EVOALL. Your vehicle is not 3x lock compatible, this is due to a limitation of the vehicle. You will need a seperate RF kit to start the vehicle.

My other option would be to install a remote starter and use one of these products:

KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL

EVO-RIDE

EVO-KEY

Correct?  Thanks!
Yes any one of those modules will perform the immobilizer bypass in your vehicle.
Surprisingly they're all about as expensive as the EVO-ALL so I may go that route also.  The EVO-ONE looks like a lot less wires though
if you use the evo-all or evo-one you will require the flash link updater (sold seperatly) to set the correct firmware in the module.
I decided to buy the updater because I got an EVO-FORT1 for the girlfriend and may add an RF later.  Hoping Fortin continues to use these for a while to make it worthwhile
You will be good to go for a very long time.
Thinking ahead, can I use the ONE in a future vehicle or is there an issue with that?
The Evo-One can be used in different vehicles provided that you have a Flashlink Updater-2 to reflash the unit to the necessary firmware and options.

Thank you.
