nissan murano 2013 RUS MAKE (or made in Russia) and evo-all and remote starter/alarm system

Question

hello.

all that i have now:

- nissan murano push- to- start (year of manufacturing - 2013), made in russia . they say that american and european muranos have a differences;

- alarm system and remote starter (all in one), not installed yet (it has data link).

i'd like to install evo-all in order to have a posibility (all together):

- 3x lock remote start by oem keyfob;

- remote start by my alarm system/remote starter;

- when the engine was remote started (by 3x lock or remote starter) and working:

            -  no any lights or wiper are switched on (and after remote started engine stops the lights are off too);

            - open (unlock) the driver door (and/or all doors)  by pressing keys on doors (keyless entry), after opening a door the engine will not stop (with no push button pressed if possible);

            - open doors by my alarm system (engine continues working too).

- it might be fine if the retained accessory power

if my desires are reachable:

- what is the version number of firmware should i flash

- what should i do to adjust the evo-all correctly (settings, sequence of operations)

- where should i find the installation guide?

Hello,

 

Use the most recent firmware for Nissan that will be indicated in the Flash-Link Manager. If your remote starter has datalink, which datalink protocol does it use? The EVO-ALL can be programmed for Fortin , AP/OFA or D2D.  So depending on which protocol the remote starter uses, you will need to turn on either option 21.1, 21.2 or 21.3.

- 3x lock remote start by oem keyfob;

You have a few options here depending on how compatible the remote starter is.

 

Option 1:  Using Option 15 Stand Alone remote starter and Option 14, OEM remote monitoring.

Install the EVO in Stand Alone remote starter mode. You would also need to turn on Option 15 in the EVO. If you look at the Stand Alone installation guide for Nissan, you will see that there is a External Trigger wire (yellow/black) on the EVO. This wire will start and stop your vehicle when a ground signal is recieved from your other unit.

Option 2: Using Option 14, OEM Remote Monitoring

If your remote starter can be programmed to start the vehicle when lock is detected you can try this option. You would need to install the EVO normally.

Option 3: Using option 16, Datalink remote starter  (also i believe Option 14 needs to be On)

Install the EVO as per Stand Alone install guide and turn on Option 16 in the EVO (and maybe option 14).

 

Option 4: (i believe you would need option 14 on in this case also since you have an alarm)

Some remote starters have an external trigger wire that when a signal is received X amount of times, it will start your vehicle. Normally you would connect that wire to the vehicles lock wire. The EVO-ALL would need to be installed normally with no special options turned on.

 

Basically, what you are looking for is very much possible depending on if the remote starter is really compatible or not via datalink and if the vehicle is compatible (since it's European).

The EVO does not control lights or wipers. If they turn on it's because they were connected or that the vehicle will turn them on automatically.

This is how it works already.

We or the remote starter connect to the driver door pin so that the retained accessory power shuts off after the remote starter has shut down.

my alarm system may be connected to evo-all through datalink (as i can see on the alarm system's scheme - there are 4 wires : +, -, rx, tx).

does it mean that i have to choose D2D?

so i think that option 3 looks most applicable. becouse the alarm system can't be programmed to recognize 3x lock pressed (but it  has an external trigger wire that when a signal is received 1 amount of times it will send a command to start).

are there any other special options i have to turn on? or i just connect wires as i see here http://ifar.ca/download/13681/stand_alone_evo-all_nissan_infiniti.rev-20140220.pdf, turn on options 14,16 and thats all?

how to find out are there any differences between russian and american versions?

by the way, what differences can make the evo-all operate abnormal?

The remote starter should have somewhere that it says which protocol it uses for datalink. This is basically a language of communication between the remote starter and the EVO. Depeding on which protocol the remote starter can use,  you will need to also change to the appropriate protocol in the EVO-All Options. There are 3 main languages that the EVO-ALL can do: FORTIN, D2D and AP/OFA

Using that connection with those options turned on should work fine. If starting with 3x Lock does not work, you will have to also turn on option 15. I am not sure how your remote starter works.

You wouldn`t be able to program the EVO and some wiring in the vehicle may be completely different.

All this working properly is dependant on your remote starter/alarm datalink protocol. I would contact the manuafacturer of that system also to see if their datalink protocols are compatible with Fortin, D2D or AP/OFA

by the way, if i'll set  to use datalink (even shall  have a mistake) the evo-all will start engine if External Trigger wire (yellow/black) on the EVO connects to ground, anyway. am i right?

Correct, the yellow/black wire when Option 15 and /or Option 16 is on becomes an external trigger. So a ground pulse will start the vehicle and a ground pulse will stop it.

Might as well, it wont harm anything. As long as you have a Flash-Link Updator to play around with the options aftewards.
