If using datalink with autostart, do not use the Fortin protocol in  the remote starter. Leave the remote starter in Express Kit and reprogram/Flash the EVO with a D2D firmware. Or, remove datalink completely.

I am using wire to wire, data cable not connected I am using seprate power and ground for remote start.

Good.

Next, make sure you have the latest firmware in the unit and reprogram it.

if you look at the programming steps:

  • Only do STEP 9 if the vehicle has a factory alarm. If it does, I recommend grounding the wire as mentionned and not pressing unlock on the remote starter remote.
  • Step 11 is where the EVO-CHR learns which keys codes to use.

EDIT: The datalink ground wire should be grounded at the same spot your remote starter is grounded.

I'm curious to know if this an EVO-ALL renamed as an EVO-CHR since it came with the Tharness or is it an EVO-CHR?

If you give me the 12 digit service number i can check to be sure.
